Is it time for D.C.A. to discuss the possibility of AKC
registration of the descendants of the
Dalmatian-Pointer cross?
I, too, resent being told I cannot breed to a dog because some people who do not truly know the meaning of what is purebred and what is not object to these LUA dogs. If they don't want to use these dogs in their breeding program that is their right. But what about my rights? They are restricting my choices and they have no right to do that. The ballot simply asks to lift the (what in my mind is illegal) gag order imposed by DCA on the subject of the backcross Dals. Let the air be cleared. Let us discuss to our hearts' content. And let us legalize the LUA dogs so that legitimate breeders can use them if they want. No one is forcing anyone to use these dogs. But if someone wants to use them they should be able to do so. If you have a problem you fix it. Perhaps your method of fixing it isn't a completely satisfactory system but it works and will suffice until something better comes along. You don't stick you head in the sand and moan that is isant. No one is forcing anyone to use these dogs. But if someone wants to use them they should be able to do so. If you have a problem you fix it. Perhaps your method of fixing it isn't a completely satisfactory system but it works and will suffice until something better comes along. You don't stick you head in the sand and moan that is is ruining everything. You use what you have. So vote in favor of lifting the restrictions. And to teach you something look into your dog's ancestry. You may be surprised. -- Esme Treen |
