Finally, I cannot believe that we are going to go through yet ANOTHER ballot to decide what we can talk about and what we CAN'T talk about. The only point in belonging to an organization, no matter what that organization is about, is to learn and expand our horizons. That can never happen if people aren't allowed to talk about those things that are of interest to them. Not to mention that there is nothing in any rules of order that I can find that provides for permanently banning discussion of a topic.

Please! End the madness!! It is fine and appropriate that we should insist that discussion be civil and factual, but discussion itself is essential to the survival of any organization. And discussion of the tough subjects may be MOST essential.
